Before you ask, yes, I was spoilt this Valentines. But not intentionally, I left Andy in the Barbers yesterday morning whilst I went for a nosey in Superdrug. Of course, I came out with a bag full of goodies, so as a way of not getting into trouble, I decided that they were from him to me, for Valentines. Genius eh?

I thought I would show you all what little wonders I (Andy) bought.

I have wanted a really nice eyeshadow palette for ages, but I just can’t bring myself to spend £20-£30 on one…so when I saw this little MUA ‘Undress me too’ for a bargainous £4 I couldn’t really say no.

These shades are just perfect for everyday wear and if you wanted to jazz things up for a night out. I was a bit worried that they wouldn’t blend very well as they are only cheap, but I have to say I was very surprised and how effortless it was! It really is a nifty little purchase if you are makeup shopping on the cheap. The only downside I would say is that the casing is a little plasticy- if you drop this I wouldn’t hold your breath that it will survive. Take care ladies!

Whilst on the search for a lovely palette I also saw this, the MUA Eye + Face multi formula Amour palette. Now I haven’t actually used this one yet, but it just looked so pretty I couldn’t resist. In it, you get 10 powder eyeshadows and 2 creamy metallic shades that can be used both for your eyes and for contouring. Again this was only £5 so if it isn’t the best palette I have used, I haven’t really lost much. I will do a review on it this week when I have used it.

I have been on the hunt for a really beautiful red lipstick, preferably matte, for ages. I didn’t want to spend £15 on a MAC, I know I know every girl should have a MAC, but I just don’t want to shell out that much money for 1 lipstick. I mean that could pay for a day trip to Leo’s fun farm for me and the kids! So I found this little number. I had seen a fellow blogger use it a few weeks ago (so sorry I can’t remember who it was) and I just fell in love. Serious swoon over a lip colour.lipsticklips

Now this is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 08 Grand Cru Matte Finish. (Try saying that drunk…) It is a lovely red that goes on so easily. But matte? Hmmmm not really. It isn’t as glossy as a normal lipstick but I wouldn’t call it matte. I have another matte red by Rimmel that is a lot better. But nevertheless it is a lovely colour and I was happy with only shelling out £8.99 for this one.

If you take a look at my main pic for this post, you can see there were a few other bits that I bought with these, but I am saving these for another post 😉 Keep your eyes peeled for that one, I have a feeling it will be a funny one!
